Making Small Town Look Good.
These are a little over half-way done. Every time I look at them I’m all, “SQUEEE! Those are the cutest things ever!” And then I have to settle myself down. It’s a little strange to gush so much over something you made.
But really, they do deserve a little Squee, don’t they?
He didn’t get very far. Those boots are really heavy.
Hm. That might be a metaphor for life, if I was the sort of person to use imagery as a metaphor for life. Which I’m not. So, it’s actually just a cute picture of my boy wearing boots 100 times too big for him. Isn’t that enough?
…and you need a little nap to make it through the day. If that nap happens to fall exactly during the time when you are supposed to be opening your presents and eating cake? So be it. Too bad for everyone else.
My nephew understands this concept completely. He’s the birthday boy and he gets to decide when it’s nap time.
I know. I haven’t been keeping up. I’ve been working instead. That’s good, right? I like working. Especially working for actual money instead of experience. That’s wonderful.
In other news: The Middle child loves to read. The Little child loves to have people read to him. This works out very well for me.
He’s in his black period right now. It’s all very abstract.
This is how he releases his inner demons and finds his happy place.
Like it’s not hard enough to chase him when he’s on his own two feet… I know! Let’s give him wheels!
