4.2.365: Twins

When I was a kid, I had a friend who was tall and impossibly thin, with long blond hair. I was average height, average weight, with dark brown hair. Still, we were convinced that if we dressed alike and told everyone that we were twins, they would believe us.

It wasn’t enough to be friends or sisters. No, we wanted to be twins.

The oldest kid does the same thing with her friends. It doesn’t matter how different they look, she’s convinced that all it takes is matching clothes.

She didn’t plan this with her friend. They arrived to the game (Dodgers vs. Phillies!) and discovered they matched. Squealing and hilarity ensued. Girls. We’re a funny bunch, aren’t we?

18.365: Going in the mail today…

…are these cupcake toppers. They were a special request from my friend Lyndsay for her daughter’s birthday. What do you think?

I love the paper colors. And I love that Lyndsay asked me to do something completely different from what I normally do. They were fun to make. Now I want to do an entire gymnastics birthday line.

I’ve got these for sale in my Etsy Shop.
